Meet Akira, the owner and founder of Buttercremée. Akira is a first-generation Haitian-American from Miami, Florida. Her passion for skincare began when she experienced her own struggles with eczema-prone skin. With a background in biology, chemistry, and public health, Akira is dedicated to creating effective and sustainable skincare. She has set out to create a line of skincare products that not only work wonders for the skin, but are also free of harsh chemicals. Buttercremée is crafted with the highest quality plant-based ingredients, free from synthetic fragrances, harsh chemicals, and animal by-products. Our founder Akira was inspired to create our signature body butter after years of frustration with products that didn't work for her eczema-prone skin. During a car ride with a close friend, she noticed that by adding certain oils and putting her own twist, the overall product would become creamier and absorb better on the skin. Her friend suggested she make her own body butter, and in ate 2020, Buttercremée was born!
